A new beginning

I honestly do not have a clue whether I will be able to keep up a (half decent) blog. But, here goes nothing!
Over the past few days I have been working on the website you are currently viewing. Going back and forth through the most basic of design choices, simply because I have never really studied web design nor attempted to designed anything serious. So, I do wonder what you guys think about the layout so far. I am particularly satisfied with the logo, simply loving the retro, simple and playful style.
On the technical side of things, I am experimenting to migrate the complete home server over to Linux. As a lot of processes seem a lot more stable and straight forward than they currently are. I was shocked at the simplicity of installing webservices (and all their plugins), rather than my experiences with Microsoft Server over at work before. A lot of our newer projects where running on Linux servers, so I thought I would give it a shot on my home server as well, and I am quite pleased so far.
For now I will keep building and adding to this website, for example, this blog message is currently still static… way to go~
